BRISK EVE TEA

 (BRISK EVENING  TEA)

In the twilight's glow,

with tea held tight,

My heart in tumult, my mind takes flight.

Across the table, my crush, so near,

But irony, oh irony, is what I fear.( Oh ironyyyyy)

With each sip of tea, my nerves entwined,

I long to confess what's in my mind.

But the irony, it laughs in my face,

For love's sweet elation is my heart's own race.

I steal glances, hoping you'll see,

The love that blooms inside of me.

But as the tea cools, so does my chance,

Caught in this web of ironic dance(played by eyes)

The tea leaves settle, forming a clue,

Of my unrequited love for you.

While I drown in longing, you remain blind,

Oh, cruel irony, how unkind!

In this evening's irony,

I find my fate,

So I sip my tea,

with a bitter smile,

Embracing irony's cruel, ironic style.

So, in this tea-lit evening's reprieve,

I'll savor the irony, learn to believe,

That love's twisted path, though fraught with pain,

May someday bring sunshine,

and not just rain....

(Maybe the sunshine doesn't come  too easyily long)

(ALOT CAN HAPPEN OVER TEA NOT COFFEE))))
